In order for your web site to be successful, you must get your clients to visit your site. The first way to do that is to promote the name and address of your web site. Your web address should be on all of your promotional materials such as business cards, brochures, flyers, print advertisements, and so forth.

The next thing is to make sure that your site is "found" by search engine robots. Robots are programs that search the web for new sites and in the process build the indices used by the various search engines. Robots "read" the lines of code in web sites paying particular attention to page titles, page descriptions, keywords (metatags), and the use of these keywords else where in web site code.

Optimization is the process of making your web site as friendly as possible to these robots. Although it still takes time, perhaps as long as weeks, for your site to be included in the indices of some of the major search engines, optimization can hasten that process.

Rafaill & Associates offers a variety of options for Web Site Optimization from which you can choose. If you are unsure which is best for you, please do not hesitate to ask us. Be advised that we strongly recommend that at a minimum, a Basic Optimization be done for your site.

Basic Optimization

• No Additional Charge
• We will add a title to the main page of your site, a name which you will provide. Page titles are used by search engines to index web sites.

Standard Optimization

• $100; includes Basic Optimization plus
• We will include as many metatag keywords as you wish up to the limit of 874 characters. Metatags keywords are used by search engines to index web sites. You will supply the keywords.
• We will include a brief site description, which you will provide, in the code. Site descriptions are used by search engines to index web sites; site descriptions are limited to 150 characters.
• We will add a file to the root directory of your site directing search engine robots to read your pages.
• We will add lines of code to your pages telling search engine robots that they should read your pages.

Silver Optimization

• $250; includes Standard Optimization plus
• We will "scrub" your site and analyze it for use of your metatags ("keywords"). This process will check the usage of the metatag keywords in the page titles, site description, and page text in the site. We will make any necessary adjustments.

Gold Optimization

• $500; includes Silver Optimization plus
• We will do a full "scrub" of site which adds alt tag analysis (use of keywords tied to images) and keyword density analysis.
• In addition, we will submit your site to over 40 different search engines. As part of this process, you will receive email notifications from some of the engines asking you for verification. You must respond to these requests to complete the submission.
